DREAM THEATER Looking For Support Bands For South American Shows

DREAM THEATER is looking for an opening act for their shows in South America.

If you live in or near any of the following cities and are available on the cooresponding dates, you are eligible to be considered.

Mar. 01 - Santiago, CHL @ Pista Atletica
Mar. 03 - Buenos Aires, ARG @ Luna Park Stadium
Mar. 04 - Buenos Aires, ARG @ Luna Park Stadium
Mar. 07 - Rio de Janeiro, BRA @ Citibank Hall
Mar. 08 - Sao Paulo, BRA @ Estacionamento do Credicard Hall
Mar. 09 - Belo Horizonte, BRA @ Chevrolet Hall
Mar. 12 - Bogota, COL @ El Coliseo
Mar. 14 - Caracas, VEN @ El Poliedro

A different band will be chosen for each city (for example, Buenos Aires will have a different opening act for each night).

If you are interested, please follow these instructions:

* Submit a web site or MySpace link which contains functioning streaming music and band info
* In the subject line of the e-mail, put the name of the city you are submitting your entry for (only one city per band can be submitted!!!!!)
* In the body of the e-mail (in addition to the required web site or MySpace link),ONLY include the name of the band and a contact name, e-mail address and phone number
* Do not e-mail any attachments or downloadable files!!!
* Do not e-mail personal letters, bios, info or notes for DREAM THEATER!!!
* Only one e-mail from each band will be accepted, so do not send multiple e-mails!
* Email the info to: [email protected]

****Failure to follow any of these instructions will result in the e-mail being deleted and elimination from the contest.****

DREAM THEATER will only accept the first 20 entries from each city, so time is of the essence!!!

The chosen winners for each city must agree that by winning this contest:

* They will be given 30 minutes of stage time before DREAM THEATER's set
* A full soundcheck is NOT guaranteed (but DT will do everything in their abilities to provide it)
* They will be responsible for their own expenses incurred in playing the show
* They will be responsible for bringing their own crew (details will be sorted out in advance with DREAM THEATER's crew)

Anime News Network will present a preview of DREAM THEATER's new video for "Forsaken" this Saturday, January 26. The preview for the second video from "Systematic Chaos" will include three video stills and a question-and-answer session with the video's director. Later on that night the video will premiere on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball", starting at 11:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
